The disingenuous drifter doesn’t love you or any other fan base. He doesn’t love any school or any NFL franchise. He loves himself, his playbook and his bank account.

Is he serious? I’d say anyone worried about their bank account wouldn’t accept a 2.2 million dollar pay cut to coach on a lower level. I understand he needed another piece for his three part sentence but the bank account line just doesn’t make any sense.

On another note, isn’t everyone worried about their bank account? Yes, even Mr. Forde. Forde wouldn’t take a pay cut to be a talking head at a smaller media outlet would he? I don’t know Forde but I’ve got alot of money that says the answer would be a big ol NOPE. Petrino knows what he wants and was willing to take a pay cut to get it.

Let me preface this article by saying this is just my opinion from the outside looking in based on what I’ve read and heard about the new Arkansas Razorbacks head coach Bobby Petrino in the last two days.
In my opinion, I think he intended for his hopping days to be over when he stepped onto the field at Louisville. Every coach hops around repeatedly until they are offered that head coaching job. Maybe not as often as Petrino did but they do hop around in search of the head position. After an outstanding 41-9 record over three years at louisville the NFL came calling with a 3.5 to 4 million dollar raise. Seriously, can you blame him? If your a Louisville fan, I don’t blame you for blaming him after your 2007 season.

Let me digress for a moment, you can skip this paragraph if you wish.
Like most people coaches are extremely competitive to the point of always being in search of the next step up in terms of position and title. They typically take their first D1 coordinator of sometype with the intent of becoming a head coach at another D1 university. Once they’ve proven themselves as a D1 HC where else is there to go? Yep the NFL. You can’t get much higher than a HC position for the NFL.

Back to Petrino, the Falcons came calling with a raise. Petrino bit. Two things altered his plans for the falcons. They traded the backup QB (for what reason and to whom I don’t know) & Vick was busted for dog fighting. Immediately he’s down to his 3rd string QB. With his style of offense, that will not work as proven by his 3-10 record with the Falcons. The NFL HC job didn’t end up smelling like the roses he had intended. Rumor has it he wasn’t happy and was keeping an eye open for the right opening. He definetly found it. A HC position in the toughest and most competitive conference in the country coaching against the best around.

Top reasons why the Arkansas Razorbacks have have eliminated his need to hop

1. He’s now a HC at a major D1 University
2. He’s coaching in the best and toughest conference in the country
3. He’s coaching against some of the best coaches in the country
4. His salary is very competitive to the rest of D1 college football

I’d say he’s here for a while.

I’m not saying everyone who signs up is negative and hates the world, it’s only the ones that are allowed to post. It’s so obvious Lanny and his moderators have an agenda. Post are removed and accounts banned for no other reason than having opinions different from their own which leaves not nothing but hate a negative crap.

A perfect example, below is the post that got me banned….
“…..Haters. I’m mostly a spectator on this board and getting sick of all the negativity. I rarely ever read anything positive about the Hogs here. The same hogs that just came off of a 10 win season, with Nutts play calling. If your pissed about Nutt calling the plays, the only thing you can give Gus credit for is the Wildcat offense. Is that really enough to worship the guy over. Personally I wish he would have stayed but I don’t worship the guy. Trust me I have my beef with Nutt was well but you won’t see FIRE NUTT at the end of every message or see me join in on every negative post.

banned? seriously?

I understand the board has rules and I understand that. This is the first line from the rules “You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person’s privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law.”
Did I break that one…. NOPE

This is the second paragraph “Your ability to post on Hogville.net is a privilege, not a right. As such, Hogville.net Administration reserves the right to terminate your posting privileges with or without advance notice and for any reason.”
Two words “Any Reason”. hmmmmmmmmmm

Here’s another line I have a problem with: “Please remember that we do not actively monitor the posted messages, and as such, are not responsible for the content contained within.”
Liar, Liar, Liar…… they do actively monitor post, delete post, and ban users for any reason.

I know of many many others who have gotten banned for basically not agreeing with the moderators. For one specific example I know of one guy who’s post was removed and received a banned notice for simply saying Casey Dick was a better QB that Mustain.

One more question. What is it with the Malzahn/Mustain love over there?

I honestly don’t feel like there would be “as much” drama over the last two seasons if hogville wasn’t nurturing that type of atmosphere.
